Maxwell Part # 324A “Friction Disc, small” (bronze)
Most 2-cylinder Maxwell’s used alternating steel and bronze transmission clutch discs. These discs wear over time and in some cases can result in the loss of or slowly engaging high gear. My new discs are CNC laser cut from 0.035″ 1095 blue spring temper steel and 0.032″ 510 H08 spring temper bronze. The addition of one or a pair will likely get you a solid high gear back.
