It is common to find very worn front axle components considering the age of these vehicles. I can assist with front axle/spindle/kingpin/tie rod bolt rebuilding to eliminate excessive wear and make your Maxwell drive straight down the road.

Spindle arms are bored and custom bronze bushings are made/installed.

For excessively worn kingpins, my recommendation is to have them built back to standard size and roundness by hard chrome plating. Once this is done, I can manufacture and install custom bronze bushings and ream to fit the new kingpin.

If you choose to send along your entire front axle, I can re-machine the spindle yoke to eliminate wear and bring the inside yoke surfaces parallel to the kingpin axis. Custom bronze thrust washers are then made to fill the space between the axle yoke and spindle body.
